Artwork Care & Framing
Artwork Care
All artwork is created on acid-free paper using Mungyo Gallery Artists' Soft Oil Pastels and/or Sennelier Oil Pastels.
For best long-term preservation, artwork should not be displayed in direct sunlight or in areas with high heat or humidity. Oil pastel should never be pressed directly against glass or acrylic, as the surface remains slightly soft over time.
Framing Recommendations
Because this work is created with oil pastel, it should be framed with space between the artwork and the glass. This is typically achieved using a mat, spacer, or float-mounting technique. Most professional frames can accommodate this.
For optimal preservation, UV-protective glass is recommended. Acrylic glazing is also suitable, provided the artwork is not displayed in direct sunlight. All framing materials should be acid-free and archival whenever possible.
